Part of the Tiana Horseshoe Crab Monitoring collection
Horseshoe Crabs have been around for over 450 million years! Any vaccine or medical implant must be tested with a compound found in their blood to detect bacteria. Join us in a state‑wide effort to monitor their population and inform policy that will help sustain them for generations to come.
Back to the Bays, an initiative of CCE Marine Program, oversees the monitoring at the Tiana Bayside site, coordinated by Daniell Morris (dm733@cornell.edu).
